About the Lincolnshire Steam and Vintage Rally
2020 will be the 35th rally organised by Lincolnshire Steam and Vintage Rally Ltd. The rally came into being when our Chairman Glyn Macdonald realised that the venue and date had become vacant and he thought he would be able to realise an ambition to run a steam rally.

He invited a number of interested parties to a meeting held at his home and explored the possibilities, the venue was secured and this resulted in the first rally in 1986 in which there were 250 exhibits.

Following on from this success it was realised that a more professional approach was required to manage the event and so the Lincolnshire Steam and Vintage Rally Ltd Company was formed along with the charitable status and the event has been staged under these auspices ever since.

From these humble beginnings the event has grown until we now occupy approximately 80 acres of the showground and invite 1500 or so exhibits.

All the Committee are themselves rally exhibitors and know what they expect in terms of exhibits and organisation, this contributes greatly to the way our the event is organised and run. However as with all these events we have to rely on our helpers who give their time freely and unselfishly, and for this we thank them.
